PLAIN ACCOUNTS LEGAL CENTRE

Terms of service

These terms govern business trials, subscriptions and authorised use of Plain Accounts.

Effective 22 October 2026
Plain Accounts is operated by HOSTAL PTY LTD · ABN 58 693 993 501. Contact privacy@plainaccounts.com or support@plainaccounts.com.

1. Agreement and service

The customer must be authorised to enter the agreement. Plain provides accounting, invoicing, purchasing, payroll preparation, reporting, portal and integration features according to plan and country availability. It is not personal financial, tax, payroll or legal advice.

2. Trial, subscription and taxes

Eligible workspaces receive a 14-day no-card trial. Continued access requires a paid plan. Price, billing period, inclusions and applicable taxes are shown before purchase; subscriptions renew until cancelled through the available account controls.

3. Accounts and customer data

Customers must keep registration information accurate, protect credentials, assign suitable permissions and remove access promptly. Customers retain ownership of their content and authorise Plain to host, process, back up and transmit it only as needed to provide the service.

4. Connected providers

Stripe and other activated providers operate under their own terms. External bank, payment, tax and payroll transmissions require customer authority, provider activation and any applicable regulatory approval. Plain is not a bank, payment institution or government agency.

5. Availability, suspension and termination

Reasonable maintenance and external outages may affect service. Plain may restrict activity necessary to address non-payment, breach, unlawful use or a security risk, with notice where practicable. Customers should export required data before access ends.

6. Liability and law

To the maximum extent permitted by law, indirect or consequential loss is excluded and aggregate liability is limited to fees paid or payable in the preceding 12 months. Non-excludable rights remain. New South Wales law governs, subject to mandatory local rights. Contact legal@plainaccounts.com.

7. Jurisdiction and local rights

These documents are governed by the law stated in the Terms of service, subject to mandatory privacy, consumer and data-protection rights in the customer’s country. Customers operating outside Australia should obtain advice about obligations specific to their activity and location.
